Pinning the last curl in place, she smiled.
“Julianna, you look stunning.”
One last glance in the mirror, and I would be ready.
My butterflies increased, fumbling around in my tummy like crazy. My black eyeliner rimmed my ice blue eyes and complimented the tones perfectly. The last minute dress Melissa helped me find was unbelievable. It hugged my hour-glass shape in just the right places. The lace running from the thin shoulder straps to the back of the dress itched slightly, but it was worth it. The front was cut in a ‘v’ shape, opening up space for my diamond clover shaped necklace to lay delicately on my chest. Lifting up the bottom of the slightly poofy skirt, I revealed my stiletto heals making me giggle. It was the only way I could look my man eye to eye. Darn his height.
*Knock Knock*
“Julianna, are you ready? It’s almost—-” My dad’s voice trailed off with a tear forming in his eye.
“Do I look pretty daddy?”
He nodded his head, not speaking a word, offering me his arm. He cleared the lump in his throat by the time I reached him and whispered “Its time baby girl.”
The music started and my heart raced with every step. Louis politely presented his arm for my mom. She was already crying before the doors opened. Brianna smiled brightly as Zayn escorted her through the double doors into the sanctuary, followed by Melissa and Liam before Kristen and Harry traced their footsteps down the isle.
I gripped my daddy’s arm as we began to walk. This was hands down, the most exciting moment of my entire life.
Niall’s smile widened when our eyes locked. I blushed slightly and tilted my head down. One step. Two steps. Three steps. Four steps. It seemed like an eternity. I couldn’t contain it anymore.
“Lets go.” I giggled to dad, speeding up our walking pace just slightly causing Niall to laugh at the alter. Finally I was standing infront of him.
He pulled the veil out of my face, the smile never fading from his lips.
“What are you doing?” I giggled.
“Julianna, you’re gorgeous. I don’t want anything trying to hide that.”
His accent made my knees buckle.
“That necklace…you kept it?” he seemed shocked.
“Of course. Just because we took a break two years ago, doesn’t mean I was letting go of the gift you gave me on our one year anniversary.”
His smile widened before grabbing my hands and turning to the pastor of the church.
The majority of the ceremony seemed to fly by. Niall’s vow made me cry slightly.
“The day I met you, I knew you had to be mine. I couldn’t sleep that night, since your face invaded my dreams. Two months later we were reunited at a random restaurant by some weird guy with a flashing toothbrush and a girl who was smitten with him.”
I giggled looking at Liam and Melissa before he continued.
“That night was the best night of my life. I seriously thought I was never going to see you again, but that night reasured me that we could make this long distance thing work. And here we are three years later, about to exchange rings and spend the rest of our lives together, and I can’t think of a better way I’d want to spend my last heart beats than in your arms. So lets start a whole new adventure together. I vow, right here and right now, to love you until the end of time. And no crazed fan can ever change that for me.”
I giggled, pulling out my vows.
“Baby, you’ve got that ONE THING that I could never find in any other guy. You’re the sweetest, most amazing person I’ve ever known. That night at the restaurant you STOLE MY HEART, and I never imagined asking for it back.” I paused for a second seeing him and the rest of the boys snicker at my puns.
“I would stay awake at night and replay the MOMENTS in my head that took my breath away and I knew I was completely TAKEN by you. I know you would never intentionally TELL ME A LIE so I vow I’ll do the same for you. I’ll do my best not to make the SAME MISTAKES of the past, and love you MORE THAN THIS moment, and the one before. You made me realize WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL isn’t just your looks, but your heart. And I’m so thankful that you gave me yours in place of mine.”
Our guests giggled died down as we exchanged rings. Before I knew it the words escaped the pastor’s lips. “you may kiss the bride.”
Niall cupped my face in his hands and planted his lips on mine. It was the sweetest kiss he and I ever shared. Breaking away, he left his forhead against mine and smiled a toothy grin.
“I love you Mrs. Horan.” His whispered, taking my hands in his.
“I love you too, Niall.”
This was bound to be the greatest adventure of my entire life.
